Sue spent the latter part of her corporate career as a divisional head of UK based professional service providers, working alongside international colleagues and clients to ensure compliance with UK requirements. As part of this she has acted as a director on a wide range of company boards, including operating companies, UK subsidiaries of growing international businesses, funding, investment and asset holding vehicles and companies being restructured or going through the process of being dissolved. Prior to her roles in professional services firms, Sue worked within international finance, structuring and placing debt capital markets products to clients in Europe and Asia.
More recently Sue has supported the implementation of employee ownership models in various companies and acts as an independent trustee on employee ownership trusts, working with companies to support effective trust boards and their interaction with the main operating board.
Sue is formally trained as a Chartered Director with the Institute of Directors and was made a Fellow in 2015. Reflecting her fascination with effective governance, Sue regularly shares articles and blogs on the topic. She is a published author having been commissioned by The Chartered Governance Institute of the UK to write two books on company meetings and committees.
